Our Process

Your journey to building a brand new home with Authentic Custom Homes starts with a visit to one of our models or a phone call to our new home sales consultants at 405-595-1000. From there, you will be paired with a Community Manager based on where you want to build. We have a fantastic sales team designed to help you find which one of our communities fits your family's needs.

The Community Manager/New Home Sales Consultant will assist you in choosing a homesite, floor plan, elevation and will walk through all of the included amenities for the specific community.

You will work with our preferred lender to obtain a mortgage pre-approval letter. You are welcome to use another lender but we strongly recommend you use our preferred lender. Our lender jumps through hoops to make sure there is never paperwork missing and that our homes close on time. They will even work with you on strategies to improve your credit.

Schedule a meeting with your Community Manager to write the purchase agreement. During this time, they can help you put together a wish list of items you would like that is above and beyond what is already included in your home. The office staff will then price out these items and they will be placed on Buildertrend for you to approve.

You will work with the lender to complete your mortgage application! You will also have a Pre-construction meeting at the office to ensure everything is exactly how you want it. This is when our staff will print out your plans and you can get as specific as stating the exact spot you would like an electrical outlet. Robyn will then send you an email with a login to Buildertrend where you can track the progress of your home build and approve design selections that she has uploaded.

Yay! Now it is time to bring your home to life! This includes selecting flooring, paint colors and kitchen selections such as countertops, cabinets and backsplash! At your selections meeting, you will meet at one of our showrooms where they have a building full of samples for you to choose from.  If you would like to select items beyond the levels included in your home purchase, we allow homeowners to make three equal upgrade payments. Our transaction coordinator will review the payment schedule with you. 

Now that you have approved your selections, construction begins! We would prefer you only visit the homesite when one of our staff can accompany you. However, if you decide to venture off, please be aware that the construction site is dangerous and watch for nails. If there is a crew working on site, please do not disturb the homesite during this time.

It is now time to meet with our Superintendent at the Orientation to walk your home! They will have a Punch List for you to fill out, stating anything that needs fixed prior to closing. At the Authentication Walk, the Superintendent who built your home will now do a walk through with you to ensure all of the items on the Punch List have been resolved. The Superintendent will also provide you with tips on keeping your home in great shape!

You are almost finished! It is time to close at the Title Company! You will now close on your beautiful Authentic Custom Home and receive your keys. With your permission, we will get a photo of you to add to our Facebook page!
